2022-2023 Submitted CDBG Applications 

The following applications were reviewed by the CDBG Annual Allocation Committee, City Manager, and City Council for the 21-22 program year. The CDBG Annual Allocation Committee released their funding recommendations on Monday, February 14, 2022. The City Manager's funding recommendations were released on Thursday, March 10, 2022. The Portland City Council will finalize FY23 CDBG Allocations on April 11, 2022.

Important Public Hearing & Public Comment Dates:

03/11/21 - 04/11/21: 30 Day Public Comment Period for 2022-2023 Housing and Community Development Annual Action Plan and 2022 - 2026 Consolidated Plan including CDBG, HOME, and ESG funding recommendations. The Portland City Council will hold two public hearings to consider the allocation of the previously mentioned funding recommendations. The City welcomes comments on the 2022-2023 Housing and Community Development Annual Action Plan and 2022-2026 Consolidated Plan. Comments should be submitted by April 11th to Mary Davis, Housing and Community Development Division Director at mpd@portlandmaine.gov 

3/21/2022: The Portland City Council will be reviewing the 2022-2026 Housing and Community Development Consolidated Plan and 2022-2023 Annual Action Plan including CDBG, HOME, and ESG funding recommendations. The meeting will be held both in person and remotely via ZOOM at 5:00pm. Public comment will be taken during this meeting. 4/11/2022: The Portland City Council will be voting on the 2022-2026  Housing and Community Development Consolidated Plan and 2022-2023 Annual Action Plan including CDBG, HOME, and ESG funding recommendations. Public comment will also be taken at this meeting. Five affirmative votes are required for passage after public comment. 

5/16/2022: The 2022-2026 Housing and Community Development  Consolidated Plan and 2022-2023 Annual Action Plan is due to the U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development.
